Job description
Responsibilities:
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.
As a Network Security Administrator, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization's information systems and data integrity. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures that protect our network from internal and external threats. Network Security Administrators are required to have a strong technical background, including knowledge of networking architecture, authentication practices, and security administration. Network Security Administrators should have strong troubleshooting, analytic and diagnostic skills, as well as good communication skills. This position requires close collaboration with IT teams, management, and other stakeholders to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend effective solutions. The Network Security Administrator shall prepare technical implementation plans that provide integrated solutions, including actions, milestones, timelines, and critical paths required for complete solutions. The Network Security Administrator is required to research applicable standards and requirements documents.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Implement network security policies and procedures such as protecting sensitive data and ensuring compliance.
Implement technical measures aligned with policies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and network traffic.
Administrating and maintaining computer security and support for server on multiple networks.
Utilize network monitoring tools to track user activity, network traffic, and potential security threats.
Establish baseline behavior patterns to help identify anomalies indicative of security breaches.
Manage, monitor, and update malware prevention systems.
Establish procedures for responding to security incidents related to web traffic, such as malware infections or data breaches.
Utilize built-in analytics tools to monitor web traffic patterns, bandwidth usage, and user behavior.
Implement content filtering policies to restrict access to inappropriate or non-work-related sites.
Monitor security advisory groups to ensure all necessary network security updates, patches, and preventive measure are in place.
Create, modify, and implement custom SNORT rules for IDS architecture.
Alert the Government of possible attacks/intrusions, anomalous activities, and misuse on Government network.
Performing impact analysis on user activity and network performance based on proactive monitoring of generated network and security issues.
Establish and operate a service support program that provides systems administrators, maintenance, computer security, and support for physical servers, virtual servers.
Update policies based on changed in technology, business practices, and regulatory requirements.
Some positions may require shift work or an ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM mission.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
5 years of experience with BS/BA; 3 years of experience with MS/MA; 7 years of experience with an Associates; 9 years of experience without a degree
DoD Top Secrect clearance (or higher)
DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II (Security+) AND
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification
Experience with networking and network equipment (CISCO, Juniper, etc)
Desired Qualification:
Understanding and experience with Virtual routing is highly desired

Target Salary Range:
$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
