Job Type Full-time Description Clearance: TS SCI clearance, SAP-accessed Must be a US Citizen Ability to work remotely: None; onsite role Obsidian Solutions Group (OSG) is seeking a Simulation Training Developer to join the Team! The Simulation Training Developer will design and deliver training programs on Modeling & Simulation (M&S) tools for 328 WPS instructors and students. This role also involves developing advanced training scenarios, ensuring their effectiveness, and supporting real-time exercises. The mission is to provide the U.S. Space force 328th WPS Modeling & Simulation command with software development services in support of Advanced Training. Specific Responsibilities Deliver simulator training for instructors and students on M&S tools four times annually.
Develop, update, and refine training materials and simulation scenarios based on the 328 WPS syllabi.
Monitor training outcomes and gather feedback to improve training effectiveness.
Collaborate with instructors to create new simulation scenarios and improve existing ones.
Provide real-time support during training exercises to troubleshoot and resolve issues with M&S tools.
Develop and deliver advanced training scenarios using Unity game engine and C# to create realistic and immersive simulations.
Leverage VR/MR platforms, particularly Meta Quest 3 or similar, to build interactive, high-fidelity training environments.
Collaborate with the Software Engineer to integrate simulation scenarios into the broader M&S framework, ensuring they align with the 328 WPS mission.
Support the development and real-time execution of simulation-based training, troubleshooting issues during live training sessions.
Regularly update and refine training materials and scenarios based on feedback from instructors and students.
Assist in the development of new training modules that incorporate both virtual and real-world elements using mixed reality.
Provide ongoing support to instructors and students to ensure smooth execution of simulations during training exercises.
Stay up to date with the latest VR/MR and simulation technology advancements to continuously improve training programs.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Simulation Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience developing training scenarios using M&S tools, with a focus on Unity and C#.
Strong experience in developing simulations for VR/MR platforms, particularly Meta Quest 3 or similar devices.
Familiarity with Ansys Systems Toolkit (STK) and SysML diagrams to support scenario integration with broader simulation frameworks.
Proficiency in C# coding for Unity-based simulation development.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and instructors, to create effective and scalable training scenarios.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot real-time issues during training exercises.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to train instructors and students on the use of simulation tools.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment Must be able to lift 50lbs
