The Production Manager oversees the daily operations of the production process, ensuring that products are made efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards. Responsibilities include to manage staff, coordinate with other departments, and troubleshoot issues to optimize production output and maintain smooth workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Oversight: Supervise daily production activities, ensuring adherence to schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Team Management: Lead, train, and develop production staff; schedule shifts and manage labor costs.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
  • Quality Control: Monitor product quality and compliance with health and safety regulations; address and resolve any quality issues.
  • Equipment Management: Ensure all production equipment is properly maintained and functioning; coordinate repairs and upgrades as needed.
  • Cross-Departmental Coordination: Work closely with procurement, logistics, and quality assurance teams to align production schedules and address any issues.
  • Reporting: Track production metrics, prepare reports, and analyze performance data to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Compliance: Ensure all production practices comply with relevant regulatory requirements and company policies

Profile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
