Hampton House Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to join our dynamic healthcare team. As the DON, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing department and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. Your leadership, clinical expertise, and strong management skills will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to excellence in healthcare services.

Position: Director of Nursing (DON)

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management: Provide effective leadership, guidance, and support to the nursing staff, promoting a positive work environment and fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration.

Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and maintain the highest standards of care, monitoring quality metrics and implementing improvement initiatives as needed.

Care Coordination: Oversee the coordination of resident care, collaborating with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans and ensure their effective implementation.

Staff Development: Recruit, train, and evaluate nursing staff members, providing ongoing education and professional development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Resident Advocacy: Act as an advocate for residents' rights, ensuring their safety, well-being, and dignity are preserved at all times.

Budget and Resource Management: Collaborate with the facility administrator to develop and manage the nursing department budget, optimizing resource allocation and cost-effectiveness.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration with other departments, such as rehabilitation, dietary services, and social services, to ensure holistic care delivery.

Qualifications:

License registered nurse (RN) in the State of Pennsylvania;

Proven experience in a skilled nursing home environment with at least one year of successful experience as a Unit Manager, Assistant Director of Nursing, OR Director of Nursing (DON);

Knowledge of federal and state survey processes;

Work history in the long-term care industry;

Wound Care Certification (preferred, but not required);

Commitment to team-oriented outcomes and quality care; and

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
